In
1947,
the Club held its first Sanctioned A match. What an event that was, most breeds were there strutting around the ring and the excitement was apparent because soon we would be able to hold our first AKC point show!
That very next year 1948 The Greater Miami Dog Club held its First Annual AKC All Breed Point ShowWell as you can see, our club has been around a long time.

We have seen new dog owners join, get married, have children, and we have watched as their children have grown into fine young adults and over the years we have had to tearfully say farewell to way too many members. We have old members and young members but most of all we have wonderful members that have supported this club with true dedication and enthusiasm!
